Dr. Xinya Chuong is a board-certified pediatrician in Texas. She was born in Malaysia and raised in Katy, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering with a double major in Biology at Northwestern University. Dr. Chuong moved back to Houston for her medical degree and pediatric residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She worked for a few years as a primary care pediatrician at Cook Children’s Hospital in Dallas before moving back to Houston to work alongside her mentors, Dr. Kumar and Dr. Ngai.
Dr. Chuong loves caring for all kids, from babies to adolescents, and became a pediatrician to work alongside families to provide the best care for children. She enjoys getting to know families and helping provide information to parents to ensure that their children grow up happy and healthy. One of her favorite aspects of pediatrics is supporting new parents through the newborn period.
In her free time, Dr. Chuong enjoys spending time with her family and significant other, traveling to new cities, hiking, and trying out new restaurants.
